Cyberpunk Costume

Costume Design

Inspiration

I designed this cyberpunk costume in 2019 and built it in 2020. I was inspired by the Cyberpunk the game. I wanted to focus on using PETG Thermoform Platics and vaccuum forming. The clothes I found at a thrift store and random fabrics around the house.

Build

I sculpted the head with monster clay which is a waxed based clay. I had a slit on the top of the head to allow for the electronics for the spiky hair to light up. The mohawk is made from PETG thermoform plastic.

Hands

I tried out some designs on my hands, but in the end decided not to go with it because you wouldn’t see the detail from affar. It was to much work with little pay off.

Lights

I had an external battery that connected to the led strips. I cut a slit at the bottom of the spikes and glued them down to the base of the spikes.

Spinning Gun

I 3d printed some parts to create a spinning gun. I also used a ball bearing to help it spin. Included a magnet in the gun and in the glove to make it easy to spin.
